Eden Hazard sets deadline on Real Madrid transfer - but clubs still apart on fee
The Belgian wants his future tied up shortly after the Europa League final against Arsenal in Baku
Eden Hazard wants his expected move to Real Madrid to be tied up less than a week after the Europa League final.
The Chelsea star has set a deadline of June 4 for his future to be resolved, with Real poised to firm up their long-held interest in the Belgian with a solid bid for his services.
However, the clubs are still some £26million apart in their valuation of the 28-year-old, with Real so far offering £86million and Chelsea looking for something closer to £112million.
A compromise is expected to be reached, with Hazard almost certain to be swapping Stamford Bridge for the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
But it is believed that he has told friends that he wants the deal to be in place before he joins up with the Belgium squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers with Kazakhstan on June 8 and Scotland on June 11.
Hazard wants the deal completed by June 4
Meanwhile, Chelsea have released a statement advising fans against using a suggested alternative route to get the final.
"The Local Organising Committee (LOC) and local authorities in Baku have informed UEFA they have organised an alternative option for supporters of both clubs to reach Baku, which would mean flying to Tbilisi (in neighbouring Georgia) and then using ground transportation from Tbilisi to Baku.
